You wonder how you’ll be. You wonder how you’ll handle the situation. Will it go well? Will you choke under the pressure? If it goes badly, will you let it crush you? If it goes well, will you second guess it?
Then, at the other end of it, when it all comes back around, you notice that you got through it without shaking. Not one moment of nerves. You can make it through anything now. What people think of you no longer defines you. Only what God sees is important. Even if it is second-guess worthy, you will not be defined by it. Your past is your past. And if you’ve “gone and sinned no more,” if you’ve gone without repeating major mistakes and learned something from them about yourself and God, then you can hold your head up high no matter what anyone else thinks.
