I’m Glad That’s Over

I shove things under the rug. I don’t deal with them. That makes the bad things last longer than they need to and it makes them worse. And when I do deal, it’s always after the fact. I don’t deal in real time. I have to be over an emotion or far past it before I will even acknowledge it. But I find that when I finally deal with things, they are dealt with in short order. When they are outside my head, they dissipate quickly.
