Here I’ve been spinning my wheels like a mad woman trying to get my thoughts, fears, hopes, dreams, realizations out there into the cosmic void hoping someone would read them. Someone would take notice. Someone would help. As a writer that’s what you’re supposed to do right? Write, and then someone reads what you wrote and comments, provides insights, answers your questions. The problem is that in this world of instant response and gratification, silence is awkward and chilling. Maybe silence is the answer. Maybe silence is the key to grabbing someone’s attention. Silence speaks volumes at times. Not saying anything sometimes says it all. Could I, a compulsive talker and typer, actually be silent? Here’s to a good, old-fashioned try.
