Dear Single Ladies,
I am a strong believer that the guy should do the initiating – I haven’t always lived by that rule but I still believe that should be the way it’s done and from here on out I will live that way. However, I know some of you can’t help yourselves and you feel the need to be in the driver’s seat. This message is for you…
If you like a guy and after your first attempt he does not reciprocate or if you were in a relationship and he ended it, please follow these instructions:
- Get alone in front of a mirror
- Look yourself in the eye
- Say, out loud, the following piece of truth: “It’s his loss, not mine!”
(Repeat this step over and over again until you believe it. It IS the truth but let’s face it gals, it’s easier for us to believe lies.)
After you follow these steps you can walk away from the situation, leave the guy in your dust, and hold your head up high wearing your dignity like a beautiful, diamond encrusted tiara.
WARNING: DO NOT keep up the quest. If he can’t see how wonderful you are, it’s his loss. Your dignity needs to be more important to you than your need to be loved by a guy who is clearly incapable of loving you the way you deserve.
